This week, Inc. – best known for its Inc. 500 and Inc. 5000 list of the 500 and 5000 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States – unveiled their first-ever Inc. 5000 Series: Texas list. Inc. has ranked 5000 of the fastest-growing private companies in Texas to provide a unique regional snapshot of the region and its vibrant, flourishing, and fast-growing independent small businesses.
The businesses on the Inc. 5000 Series: Texas list demonstrate astounding growth in a variety of industries. This list demonstrates Texans’ innovative achievements when it comes to creating sustainable growth and great jobs, and is among the highest honors bestowed upon a growing private business, its leadership, and the team members who make their vision a reality each and every day.
Here at Status Labs, we’re honored to be one of a select few businesses that has made the national Inc. 5000 list four times in a row, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been ranked #232 on the publication’s list of fast-growing Texas businesses, honoring the fact that we’ve achieved 112 percent revenue growth over the last three years.
Founded in 2012, we here at Status Labs have achieved a lot over the last several years. This honor from Inc. reaffirms the fact that more people need our unique reputation management and brand amplification services than ever before to create and maintain their images in an ever-crowded digital landscape, making us a go-to resource for companies, their leaders, and individuals alike.
In discussing this achievement, Status Labs CEO and co-founder Darius Fisher said, “We’re proud to be recognized as a leading business amongst the strong economy of Texas. Again, our growth and success speak directly to the high-caliber talent of our team and our in-demand digital reputation services.”
COO and co-founder Jesse Boskoff added, “It has been an honor to receive regular recognition from Inc. for our company’s growth and success. Digital reputation management services are in greater demand than ever before, and we’ve built a strong partnership network by earning the trust of our clients.”
This award is a great honor. Status Labs has been awarded by Entrepreneur as well, where we were celebrated for having one a Top 150 Company Cultures and profiled in publications including the New York Times, New York Post, US News & World Report, The Daily Beast, Observer, DuJour, and a number of other outlets.
However, our success at Status Labs is just one part of a much bigger story – that of Texas’s incredible performance in business over the last several years. The 250 private companies on Inc.’s new list achieved an average growth rate of 294 percent, employed 36,000 people, and brought $11 billion into the Texas economy. While many of these businesses were based in major metro areas, including Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and our beloved hometown of Austin, many were located in other parts of the state as well.
“The companies on this list demonstrate just how much the small-business sector impacts Texas’s economy,” said Inc. editor in chief Scott Omelianuk. “Across every single industry, these businesses have posted revenue and growth rates that are beyond impressive, further proving the tenacity of their founders and CEOs.”
In fact, you can see complete results of the Inc. 5000 Series: Texas list, including an interactive database that allows you to sort businesses by their industry, metro area, and a number of other factors, at inc.com/inc5000-series-texas-2020, and we highly recommend you take a look at the many companies making this one of the greatest states in the country to live and work.
We were also excited to be announced as a winning company as a part of the Inc. Founders House event, which was to take place at this year’s SXSW festival on March 13 but has since been canceled, along with all other SXSW events due to concerns about the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. We hope that the Texas, national, and international business communities will have another opportunity to gather in the near future.
